Preview: Natus Vincere sweep G2 2:0 in the grand-final of PGL Major Stockholm 2021.
This week the PGL Major Stokholm 2021 came to an end. It was certainly one of the most long awaited tournaments in the world of CS:GO.
Without further ado, here are the highlights! Natus Vincere from Eastern Europe championed this event without dropping a single map. What a way to headline!
We would be remiss if we didn’t break down the playoffs!
In the Quarterfinals we had Heroic beat Virtus Pro, G2 — NiP, Gambit — FURIA and NAVI — Vitality. G2 vs Heroic gave us an intense match with intense passion. Closing off the semi finals with Navi vs Gambit all too soon.
G2 and Natus Vincere met in the grand-final. The match kicked off on “Ancient”, which G2 chose as their pick. But Natus Vincere managed to prepare for this map very well. They won the first half 8:7, thereafter winning a couple more important clutches. They clinched the victory on the first map 16:11.
On the second map “Nuke” G2 dominated most of the game. But NAVI managed to close the gap from 9:15 to 15:15. Then they were able to beat G2 22:19. Winning the grand-final 2:0.
